Inspired by the Japanese heroes of tokutatsu series (like Power Rangers), the franchise launched by Kyle Higgins and Marcelo Costa’s Radiant Black expands with The Dead Lucky, a helmeted hero with electrical powers… as well as PTSD.
The series star Bibiana “Bibi” Lopez-Yang as a vet who recently returned to San Francisco, only to discover (as per the official synopsis) that “tech consortium Morrow is building the city of the future with ‘peacekeeper’ robots looming on every corner—and wherever Morrow isn’t, the Salvation gang is. If she can hold it together, she might be the hero San Francisco needs. But against an enemy this big, it isn’t enough to be good. She’ll have to be lucky.” – Read More-

Maya Lopez AKA Echo has come a long way since being introduced in 1999’s Daredevil #9. The character has headlined multiple series, debuted in the MCU in the 2021 Hawkeye series, and will be in her own solo Disney+ series this November. Radiant Black Spins Off New Series The Dead Lucky from Image in 2022
The Dead Lucky by Power Rangers producer and actor Melissa Flores. Artists French Carlomagno and Mattia Iacono is a newly announced-and-previewed series in this week’s Supermassive one-shot published by Image Comics. A two-page teaser is intended to expand the Radiant Black universe that has been seen in Radiant Black, Radiant Red and Supermassive with an ongoing Rogue Sun to come next week, and all tied into the Image Comics superhero universe that includes Invincible and Savage Dragon. – Read More-
